DUST-FREE CUTTING SOLUTION
One of the key advantages of using the foam cutter HWS-Cutter! is its cleanliness and precision. When polystyrene (EPS) is cut mechanically with traditional tools such as saws, knives, or blades, a large amount of waste, small pieces, and foam debris is produced. Due to their very light weight, these particles spread easily and contaminate both the workplace and the entire construction site. Cleaning and collecting this fine “white debris” takes a significant amount of time.
With the HWS-Cutter! foam cutting tool, the material is cut by thermal melting, sealing the edges of the polystyrene as it is cut. This method produces no loose pieces or fine debris at all. Simply make a clean cut, take the foam piece, and put it straight to use.

Indispensable Hot wire foam cutter for craftsman
The HWS-Cutter! hot wire foam cutter combines lightweight construction with exceptional stability and corrosion resistance. It is designed for standing operation, featuring foldable legs and a vertically positioned cutting wire. The legs are securely attached to the frame and can be folded, allowing for quick and easy setup on construction sites or in workshops.
The frame is made of welded aluminum profiles, ensuring durability and rigidity, and is finished in black for a professional appearance. Its practical and lightweight design makes it easy to transport to elevated work areas or mount directly onto scaffolding using the integrated scaffold bracket.
When working with large polystyrene (EPS/XPS) panels, the built-in side support prevents accidental sliding or falling of cut sections. The side support is included in the standard model and is securely attached to the main frame with two screws.
LIMIT STOP SLIDERS
A small but crucial detail: the HWS-Cutter! foam cutter is equipped with limit stop sliders that lock the cutting bow at a fixed height for precise longitudinal cuts.
For example, a 300 mm polystyrene board can be split into two 150 mm sections without any additional measuring.
POWER SUPPLY
The powerful transformer is easily mounted on the device using four screws. After connecting the transformer to the cutting bow via XLR connectors, the HWS-Cutter! foam cutter is ready for operation immediately. The transformer features IP68 protection, ensuring reliable use in demanding working environments.
Unlike many similar solutions on the market, the transformer is fully integrated into the cutter and securely mounted on the frame. There is no need to carry a separate power unit or reconnect the power supply each time. Everything is built into the system, ensuring convenience, safety, and fast setup on every job site.
SCAFFOLD MOUNTING
The HWS-Cutter! hot wire foam cutter can also be easily and quickly mounted on building scaffolding using the special scaffold bracket (included in the basic kit). All you need to do on the scaffold: hang the device, tighten the screws, and it’s ready for work.
The scaffold bracket is fully removable and can be easily detached whenever needed, allowing quick conversion back to standard operation.
CUTTING WIRE
We use copper-coated nichrome (NiCr) wire. Ready-made cutting wires are supplied with lugs on both ends for quick and easy installation on the foam cutter. The wires are available individually (1 pc) or in bulk packs (1 kit = 10 pcs).
